Free Claude skill

One Claude skill. Every LinkedIn campaign at my agency.

It's called /campaign-strategist. It picks the angle & the offer with you, builds the lead list search, writes the scripts & QAs them - 3 options at every step, you pick. Free. Runs on your own keys.

What you actually end up with

A skill that does 5 jobs a campaign strategist does by hand. You type one line - "check campaigns", "create a brief for Acme" - & it does the work, then hands you 3 options to pick from. Every script is a draft. Nothing sends on its own.

It's the exact skill we run at the agency, with our client data stripped out & a blank ledger in its place. Not a template pack. The working thing.

What you need before you start

No n8n, no Zapier, no Airtable, no monthly tool.

The five modes

1
"Check campaigns"Every campaign on one screen, red / amber / green. Which ones are running dry & what to fix first.
2
"Create a brief for [client]"Picks the angle & the offer with you, builds the lead list search & writes the scripts. 3 options at every step, you pick.
3
"Top up the buffers"Keeps every client above 1,000 qualified leads, so a campaign never runs dry.
4
"Run pulse"Pulls the real sending numbers every day, so every decision runs on the truth.
5
"Run the learning"Reads what's winning across your campaigns & writes it into a learning log the other modes use.

What actually kills a campaign

Campaigns don't die from bad copy. They die from running dry.

A list of 400 leads with 2 senders at 200 invites a week is gone in 7 days. Nobody notices for another 2 weeks, because the dashboard still says "active". By then you've lost a month.

So the skill holds a floor: 1,000 qualified leads per client & a 300-lead queue in the sending tool. When either drops, "Top up the buffers" tells you before the campaign stalls, not after.

One example, because it's the thing that makes personalisation real. The swap test. Every personalised line gets one question: would this sentence still make sense if you swapped the company name for a competitor's? If yes, it isn't personalised - it's a template with a name in it. The skill rewrites those before you ever see them.

That check runs on every script the skill writes, along with word counts, a filler scan & a ban on em dashes. It's the reason the messages read like a person wrote them.

Download the skill

Prefer a zip? Download the .zip - same contents.

Then open the setup guide - five steps, about an hour to a first brief.

Install it in 60 seconds

  • Unzip into your skills folder. In Claude Code that is .claude/skills/campaign-strategist-starter/.
  • Start a session & say "check campaigns" or "create a brief for [client]".
  • First run, it asks 8 questions about your business & your first client. Then it works.

What's in the box

  • SKILL.md - the 5 modes, one line to trigger each.
  • A blank client ledger & campaign ledger the skill reads & writes, so "check campaigns" has something to check.
  • The brief builder - angles, offers, the Apollo search, the connection request + 3 follow-ups. 3 options each.
  • The QA template - word counts, no filler, no em dashes, the swap test.
  • The HeyReach campaign setup, generalised for your own key. Skipped cleanly if you don't have one.
  • A learning log & a decision memory, both empty until you use them.

A note on safety

Every message the skill writes is a draft for a human to send. It will not automate sending on LinkedIn - that is how accounts get restricted. Draft, then one tap to approve. Nearly as fast & your account stays safe.
